How fun!! I'd have to say my fav invitation was for Jeri and Sarawut's wedding that we shot in Thailand earlier this month! Once I got the invite in the mail, the whole thing seemed real :)
My favorite invitation was one I received for a friend's wedding shower, which had a "wine country" theme. The invitation itself was a scroll inside a mini wine bottle, with grapes and leaves inside the bottle as well. It came in a beautiful little box and really set the tone for the shower!
I think I'd have to say my favorite invite was a wedding invite. It was a very simple invite, which is what attracted me. It had three layers, deep plum, lavendar, and cream colored and they were all kinda shiny; it had a olive leaf motif and a grosgrain ribbon around it with the enclosures tucked behind the ribbon. All the elements came together to create a very elegant looking invite.
I had this beautiful invitation that layered with different papers and tied with a gorgeous ribbon - it was for a wedding of my best friend. It was so classy and pretty!
My favourite invitation was the one my sister created for my purse themed bridal shower. She made mine special, different from everyone elses, it was a collection of little purses with a tidbit of information inside each. Oh. So. Cute.
My Favorite Invitation was the one that my friends sent out for their wedding. It had the rsvp card and info on the backing to the actual invite, I loved that it was so simple and kept all the extras down to a minimum.
My favorite invitation was one I received for a friend's wedding. The invites were handmade red parchment and velum folded into a beautiful swan using origami. The little attached scroll, hanging off the birds neck by raffia, had the directions on how to fold the swan. When you unfolded the swan the information was displayed in sections adding to the fun. This very intricate yet simple invite made you feel part of the festivities.

My sister sent out a cute invitation for a sea-themed baby shower that she was throwing. It was a message in a bottle. She rolled up the invite and put it in the bottle along with a bit of sand and shells and sent them in mailing tubes. They turned out so cute, and different that the regular paper invites.
My favorite was a an invitation to a networking event a while back. It was a scroll of a treasure map printed onto parchment paper, inserted into a cylindar mailed with "Top Secret" on the outside. It REALLY got my attention! The theme of the event was "Uncover Hidden Treasures". It was an event to bring together wedding and event industry professionals so that we could "discover" each others products, talents and services. The activites included a treasure hunt of course! It was a blast!
Hands down favorite: a wedding invitation. No lie - this was a black and white xerox copy on 8x11 paper, with at least 3 or 4 typos, crossed off and corrected by hand. The grammar was very poor, words were misspelled and the phone number to the church was included...in case anyone needed to call for directions. This couple could have REALLY benefitted from the services of Invitation Consultants...but it surely was a memorable invitation!!
My favorite was a wedding invitation which was mailed in a box. When you lifted off the box top, the invitation was attached to the top and a folder with the map, rsvp card, etc. attached to the bottom. The paper was really beautiful and the whole presentation was very impressive. I don't think that I am describing it very well, but it was very creative!
My favorite invitation is one that I desgined for a "fall harvest" dinner that I helped to organize. I used rubber stamps and embossed fall leaves in gold and bronze for the background, then cut out a small square framed in brown cardstock and used another rubber stamp that said "You're Invited". To finish it off I tied a small red and yellow ribbon and atached it with hot-glue. It was simple but elegant, and I got lots of complements!
I don't know how I missed this the first time around.
My fav invite that I've ever received was one for a wedding I did last year. It was very detailed, perfectly laid out and all DIY. The bride took SO much time on them, and they were gorgeous. And inexpensive!
honestly, none stick out in my mind as a fave. that said there have been a few that stick out as glaring examples of what NOT to do for a wedding! I received one that had no time for the ceremony listed at all. Plus when you opened the envelope, about 5 different scraps of paper fell out telling you where they were registered. And the kicker? The bride didn't bother to look up my address, so she sent it to my sister's house as a combined invitation. I didn't even know I was invited until it was almost too late!
My favorite invitation was to a christening! There was a water colored silver old timey baby cup on the side with beautiful blue ribbon. It was just so sweet!
The best invitation I've ever gotten was for a "Mel-a-rita" party for a friends birthday (the friends name: Melanie). It was so cute and colorful and conveyed the theme of the party right from the start.
My favorite invitation was a pink and mango papers that were letterpressed on ivory stock with black writing, they were just so colorful and so pretty!
I loved an invitation that I got delieverd by a random man dressed in shorts and a flowered shirt, and it was for my friends wedding that was on the beach, and the invitation was super casual, but in a box that the card had to be folded, it was just very personal and fun.
The most memorable one wasn't a great one - it was a baby announcement and it was a photograph and then they wrote on the picture with a sharpie "He's here" no name, no birthday, no pounds... but I remembered it - for all the wrong reasons
