Pearls on the end of a Bouquet

So Pretty, Thanks Wedding Bee
Your wedding bouquet doesn't have to be a bunch of green stems sticking out, how pretty is this! I feel like the pearls just finish off the end of the bouquet.

We kind of think this is awesomtastic!

We are always looking for beautiful ways to incorporate your family (either those no longer with us, or your entire family) into your wedding, and I love this idea of carrying small photographs tied into your bouquet!

Just so sweet, and really something that can be passed on to your family for future weddings.I saw this on MasterPiece Weddings Blog, a few weeks ago, and I knew I just had to share it.

Did you do something awesometastic to tie in your families wedding in yours?

Succulent Bouquet

Source
How gorgeous is this bouquet?! Succulents in bouquets has been a big trend lately, and for a good reason, it's romantic and fresh!

This bouquet is great for many reasons, it's not a big ball of flowers, so it's unique in its form. But you can plant the succulents after the wedding, and keep them forever!

And you can't go wrong with an added peacock feather in the mix!

Traditions: The History of the Bouquet Toss

We've all witnessed it (and most of us have even taken a part in it). The single women all crowded onto the dancefloor with hopes of catching the Bride's bouquet so they can be the next lucky bride. How did the tradition of the Bouquet Toss come about, you ask?
via Wedding Bee
Way back when, wedding gowns were not as big of a deal as they are today. In fact, brides usually got married in one of their best dresses instead of going out and buying a new fancy white one. Since brides never planned on marrying again, preservation of wedding dresses wasn't an issue.

Touching the bride's dress was considered good luck and managing to snag a piece of the dress was considered the height of all luck. So, guest began to rip pieces off the bride’s dress while she was still wearing it. Clearly this started to become problematic...and a little risque.

Since having their dress ripped to shreds was not something most brides wanted, they needed another idea of something "lucky" that they could throw into the crowd to keep their single lady friends under control.

That is why the bouquet toss was born! Nowadays there may be a mad rush to catch the bride's flowers, but at least her dress is out of harm's way! (source of bouquet history-isms)

Personalizing Your Bouquet

We have had several brides recently who personalized their bouquets with family heirlooms. I thought that this was such a sweet idea, another great way to personalize every detail about your wedding!

One of our clients had lockets attached to her bouquet that had pictures of her Grandparents and Great-Grandparents who had passed. This way they were with her every step of the way!

Another one of our awesometastic brides hand-tied her bouquet with a piece of her mother's wedding dress. So sweet!!

Another way you can personalize your bouquet is to tie a handkerchief to it from a grandfather who passed away or even tie a family bible to it. You could incorporate many different heirlooms into your bouquet, it will mean so much more to you and your family!

Flowerless Bouquets

These bouquets would certainly last much longer than traditional flowers, and they are so sparkly and glamourous!  This one is made of vintage jewelry.

 Feathers, swavorski crystals, and pearls.

And how fun is this - colorful pinwheels!

Here are three fabulous ways to incorporate feathers into your wedding:

1. Spice up a pair of otherwise plain heels.

2. Carry them down the aisle... so glamorous!

3. Send them via snail mail.

Wedding Bouquet

I've been recently quite obsessive about bouquets. I love how different they all are and how photographers capture the beauty of them so uniquely.
