Wedding Cake without Frosting

Found these Beauties Here
Okay, so get it out of the way...

gasp...

No Way!...

Shock...

Awe!

No!

Say it Ain't So!

Wedding Cakes without frosting.

Yes. Lots of people don't like fondant. They don't like frosting.

They love cake.

I know a few cake bakers who would rather die than see a cake they made be seen naked. Yes, I said it, naked wedding cakes. It's a thing.

What do you think of the naked wedding cake?

Love?

Hate?

Not Sure?

Hand Painted Wedding Cake

Sweet Disposition Cakes
I was spending hours a few minutes on Pinterest, when I stumbled upon this cake. I cannot tell you how much I love this!

The hand painted Peonies are just gorgeous and to top it off with Sugar Flowers, it's just gorgeous. I am not sure if I could actually eat it. It's just so beautiful!

And I don't know that I want to know how long those flowers took to paint on the cake.

Is it just me, or is this not gorgeous?

Chevron Cake

Source
This cake is so elegant and fun, we love the soft delicate florals and the Chevron pattern. You could totally use this for any kind of chic and awesometastic gathering.

And the chevron pattern is HUGE right now, we prefer it on cakes rather than sweaters.

Agree?

Traditions: Tiered Cake

In the spirit of the upcoming holiday season and the traditions that are carried out each year, a few posts on wedding traditions is an absolute must!

Today we're starting with the most delicious part of any wedding reception- the wedding cake!
As much as we love the new trends of dessert tables and cupcake cakes, there is just something to be said for the tradition behind the tiered wedding cake.
via KB Cakes
The tradition of having a tiered cake at the wedding reception started back in Anglo-Saxon times. Each guest brought a small cake to the wedding and those cakes were stacked on top of each other. Later, a clever French baker created a cake in the shape of the small cakes and covered it in frosting, which is now what we know as the tiered cake. (Source of wedding cake wisdom)

Pretty cool, huh? Who knew that cake shape had so much meaning and history!?
