Wedding Cornhole

I love weddings with Southern Charm, and what better in the south than Cornhole... or a good old fashion bean bag toss - no matter what you call it, this cannot be a bad idea.

How much fun could your guests have while sipping a cocktail on the veranda and tossing a beanbag. Fun times. I promise!

Plus, I love the silhouettes with the bow and bowtie!

Rehearsal Dinner Yard Games!

Cooler weather is such a wonderful excuse to get outdoors. Being outside is always so refreshing to me and outdoor activities never fail to disappoint. Ladder ball, croquet, corn hole, checkers- we love them all (plus, we're pretty darn good at them...in a totally modest way, of course.)!

So, why not incorporate these family-friendly yard games into your rehearsal dinner or reception? Your closest bunch of friends and family is the perfect group to eat a good meal, have a few (or a lot of) laughs, and have a funtastic time playing games while celebrating you and your wedding bliss!

There is always room for a little bit of friendly competition!

Would you put your best game-face on and join in on the wedding yard game festivities?

Ahoy There! A Pirate Post.

A few Bridal Shows ago, we had the opportunity to run in to some fun pirates. Yes, PIRATES! We were so enjoying their company and they told us all about The Black Raven Pirate Ship adventures in St. Augustine, Florida.
The Black Raven Pirate Ship is a high entertainment and educational cruise for young children and adults. Depending on what kind of program you are looking to book, the Black Raven offers it all. Everything from weddings, kid birthday parties, to 21 and up parties full of skits, gambling, and music.
If you are getting married in the area, how fun would a rehearsal dinner of after party be for your wedding day? It's so different and your guests would always remember how fun it was!
Sounds super fun, right? The MasterPiece Weddings team wants to plan a fun trip towards the end of the year. Whose in for a night of pirate fun!?

Sing me a Song!

While we are being laid back, why not consider a Karaoke Rehearsal Dinner? It can even be a "after party" after the rehearsal dinner.

I know Karaoke has gotten a bad reputation, but in a large group of friends it can be alot of fun, and really a nice stress reliever!

So when you are thinking of things to do for your dinner or after, just remember, as long as you are having fun, putting your own spin on your day - then it doesn't matter what you doing! Just have fun with the ones you love!

Forrrrre Your Rehearsal

Alright, please excuse the ridiculously cliche title of this post, I thought it was cute.... because I am corny like that!
If you are trying to change things up for your rehearsal dinner, why not tee off for a round of mini golf? Your guests will enjoy the casual atmosphere and you take relief some stress prior to your wedding day!
You can also combine a BBQ meal, your favorite food, or maybe a big ole' comfort food buffett.
Bridesmaids vs. Groomsmen is always a fun rilvary! Girls vs. Boys?
Have fun with it, make it your own - and you will never be disappointed!

Bowling Rehearsal Dinner!

Yesterday we talked about a Rock Band Rehersal, another fun idea for your rehearsal dinner could be a bowling alley! Treat  your guests to Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Beer, Nacho's, and all of the bowling they can handle!

Talk about fun times! Everyone loves to let loose and bowl, even if you stink, like me!

So when you are considering what to do for your rehearsal dinner, think of fun past times - things the whole family can enjoy!

Rockin' Rehearsal Dinner!

Question: Who says your rehearsal dinner has to be a stuffy event, with pomp and circumstance?

Answer: No one!

Why not have a HUGE Rock Band Rehearsal, cater in some BBQ, or your favorite foods - have two Rock Band set ups, and you are good to go! I have to tell you from experience, Rock Band is so much fun! And really, anyone can do it! Because, frankly, if I can, you can!

Here are some pictures from our Rock Band Party...

{Everyone really gets into the spirit}
{I am usually the drummer, but someone thought it was a good idea to hand me the mic}
{Sissy (aka Roxie) Rockin' it Out!}
I know these pictures seem silly, but really, your rehearsal should be a reflextion of you, and if you can let loose alittle bit before the big day, then Rock it Out!
