New Years DIY Week: Part 4

Everyone knows with every wedding the party doesn't really begin until the reception. That's when the music, the dancing, and the occasional cocktail all come to life!

These glow jars from Intimate Weddings would make the perfect decoration to line walkways.

What you'll need:
      -Mason Jars         -Scissors
-Glow Sticks       -Rubber Gloves (so you don't have glowing hands for the rest of the day!)

Step 1: Grab two glow sticks and cut at one end. Make sure they are inside the jar when you cut them.

Step 2: Shake each glow stick while holding inside jar until contents are empty.

Step 3: Swirl the liquid around the jar. And you're done!

How awesometastic are these?!?

  1. I have been ridiculously inspired by DIY glass and metallic pots over the last few days and this was one to add to the scrap book. I think this would be absolutely divine for an outside wedding reception in the evening. Who thought neon could be a wedding colour suggestion! Thanks so much for posting.

  3. I think they can last anywhere from 12-24 hours.

  4. I've seen examples of these jars with the glow stick and white glitter. It makes it look like "fairy dust"

  5. I love this idea, but I don't want to ruin my mason jars. Does the glow stick stuff wash out?
